Prelude
In the name of God: Father, Son +, and Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, Come.
Come, Holy Spirit, Come.
On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit filled the house where Jesus’ disciples were meeting.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill this house where we are meeting, praying, worshiping, singing, believing and confirming.
On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit opened the hearts and mouths of the disciples to proclaim God’s good news in Jesus Christ.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts, our ears, our mouths, our hands to proclaim the good news of God in Christ Jesus through our words and deeds!
On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was promised to everyone, daughters, sons, young, old.
Come, Holy Spirit, kindle in us the fire of your love and grace, and empower our lives for service and our tongues for praise, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Glory to you, O Lord!
When it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
