Nursery Ministry – For Families with Children Ages 0-4:  The Nursery is staffed by Ashley Gray who is a life-long member of St. Mark’s, and is presently in her senior year at UNCC studying Early Childhood Development. In addition to the curriculum, age appropriate toys are used. And, we have a pager system in place for the nursery drop-off and pick-up to make it quick and efficient for parents.

Children’s Ministry – For Children Age 4 – Grade 5: Programs include Sunday School, for Age 4 – Grade 5, and Little LYNCs, a children’s youth group for grades 1-5. Little Lync's meets on Wednesday night in the Family Life Center at 5:30pm. Family-friendly activities are planned throughout the year, as well. In addition, grades 3-5 are invited to First Communion Class which meets 4-6 weeks during the Lenten season leading up to Easter. Students in grades 3-5 are also encouraged to attend either/or both a Fall and Spring Retreat designed to strengthen faith, friendships, and leadership skills from an early age. Last but not least, Vacation Bible School is open to Ages 3 – Grade 5 each June as a fun week of interactive, in-depth faith formation!

Middle School Youth Ministry – For Youth in Grades 6-8: Programs include Confirmation and Junior LYNCs, a middle school youth group. Youth meet for age-appropriate Bible study on Sunday Mornings and interactive fellowship . Confirmation lessons on are Sunday mornings as well, while Jr LYNCS meets at 5pm on Sunday nights in the Family Life Center. Jr LYNCs focuses on fellowship. Eighth grade Confirmation students confirm their baptism and become adult members each year on Pentecost Sunday. In addition, youth have the opportunity to participate in service and leadership roles and attend fun outings, retreats, and camps throughout the year!

High School Youth Ministry – For Youth in Grades 9-12:  Program includes interactive fellowship on Sunday nights at Sr LYNCs. Sr LYNCs discussions focus on topics relevant to everyday life for teenagers. In addition to these regular meetings, Sr LYNCs are also involved with community service projects, church leadership roles, fun outings, weekend retreats, and an annual summer mission trip. Youth Sunday has been a special tradition for this group to lead each year in February, as well.

Young Adult Ministry (YAAYK) – For adults: Young Adults and Adults with Young Kids, otherwise known as YAAYK, meet for Sunday School and other social / fellowship outings throughout the week. This group offers a great support system for one another, while providing advice and friendship to all parents within the church. This group meets in the Family Life Center on Sundays, and is currently studying- "Ignite Your Passion for God."

Adult Ministry – For all adults: Programs include Sunday School and small groups. There are many opportunities on Sundays and mid-week for Bible study and fellowship. There are currently four Sunday School classes.

All of these class are available to join, and meet in the Family Life Center
  • Adult I- Study and conversation around "Isaiah."
  • Adult II * "Eight Days of Glory" (in Education Building).
  • Adult III * "The Book of Joy- Lasting Happiness in a Changing World"
  • Family Class "Breaking Free from Fear"

Milestone Ministry – CE has traditionally celebrated several significant faith milestones for our children and youth, including Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and High School Graduation. Our hope is that these consistent celebrations in our faith community would promote a lifelong faith for all our members.

Vacation Bible School – VBS is an annual fun, engaging, hands-on Bible learning experience that St. Mark’s hosts as a community outreach event each year in June. This five-day event is truly inter-generational as we utilize over 100 youth and adult volunteers from St. Mark’s to serve over 100 children Age 3 – Grade 5. Our 2019 theme was "ROAR: Life is Wild - God is Good!" And, for 2020 our theme will be "Rocky Railway: Jesus' Power Pulls Us Through," and will be June 15-19 (Monday-Friday evenings).

Church Library – Our Church Library offers resources for both children and adults that are accessible to all members. The Children’s Library houses over 1500 titles and the Adult Resource Library over 300 titles, and all members are welcome to self-checkout books. Additionally, this space is also setup to accommodate small group studies and meetings, as well as the Preschool who utilizes the library during certain weekday mornings.

Church Mice – This ministry aims to keep our college students connected to St. Mark’s through prayer and support. A volunteer is connected with each student and keeps in touch through anonymous letters, cards, and small gifts throughout the school year. Additionally, quarterly group packages are sent from the church to ensure no college students are forgotten.
