Worship with Luther's Small Catechism

Since the year 2017 marks the international observance of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, St. Mark's midweek Lenten series is built around Martin Luther's Small Catechism. The Small Catechism was designed as a teaching tool for the Christian faith, not just within the church but within the home and family. Luther intended the home to be the place where faith was first shared and taught. Studying the Small Catechism offers a way of growing closer to God by thinking on God's word and the basics of our faith. Wednesday evening worship will sometimes utilize Holden Evening Prayer, and sometimes use other songs and prayers.

Wednesday, March 8 - The Ten Commandments. Exodus 34.

Wednesday, March 15 - The Apostles' Creed. Ezekiel 36.

Wednesday, March 22 - The Lord's Prayer. Luke 11.

Wednesday, March 29 - Holy Baptism. Romans 6.

Wednesday, April 5 - Holy Communion. Matthew 26.
