Guidelines for Use of the Kitchen

  • If you use the stove it is your responsibility to clean it. The sexton’s job does not include cleaning the stove.
  • If you use the sinks you must clean them. The sexton’s job does not include cleaning the sinks.
  • If you use any pots, pans, utensils, dishes, silverware, or coffee makers you must leave them washed and stored. The sexton’s job does not include washing and storing dishes.
  • If you put food waste in the garbage cans, please empty them. Put the waste in the roll out cans outside the FLC kitchen or in the cans outside the old kitchen in the old building. To help control odors and rodent problems, please do not put bags with food waste on the ground.
  • If you drop food on the floor, please clean it up. This may include mopping the floor.
  • If you put something in the refrigerator, please identify it clearly by labeling it with your group name and the date if you plan to use it again. Please date all products to keep out-of-date products from being used. Any products without a name and date will be discarded in a timely manner.
  • Counters and tables should be left clean for use by the next group.
  • If you use the dishtowels you need to take them home and wash them. The sexton is not responsible for washing towels.
  • No appliances, kitchen utensils, dishes, coolers, water jugs, etc. are to be taken from the premises.
  • Please leave the kitchen in the same or better condition than you found it.
